Putting Your Best Booth Forward

Corvallis Artisans Market endeavors to create a festive, upscale and culturally-rich shopping experience. The Market encourages vendors to create beautiful displays and booths. An attractive market brings in more customers and increases sales.

Pop-up booths are acceptable, but quality pop-ups are often expensive, especially in a 8'x8' size. Wooden booths are a nice alternative. Not only are they attractive, but they offer the following advantages:

• It is often less inexpensive to build a booth than to buy a premade booth. You can further reduce the cost by using reclaimed wood.

• They are the most lightweight booth option. This makes a big difference when you are hauling the booth back and forth.

• They have less of a tendency to get caught in the wind.

•Some experienced vendors say they are the easiest to set up.

The wooden booths are relatively easy to build, The Eugene Saturday Market has given us the use of their plans. You can find them at http://www.eugenesaturdaymarket.org/pdf/BoothPlans.pdf
